Great Panther Mining Ltd. engages in the mining and exploration of precious materials. The company is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia and currently employs 1,094 full-time employees. The firm is focused on the operation of the Tucano Gold Mine in Brazil where the Company controls land package covering approximately 200,000 hectares (ha) in the prospective Vila Nova Greenstone belt. The Company’s projects include Tucano Mine, Coricancha and Plomo project. The Tucano Mine project is located in Amapa State, Brazil, approximately 200 kilometers (km) from Macapa. The Tucano Gold Mine is a mining operation comprising eight open pits, the Urucum North underground project, a processing plant and tailings dam. Mine production to date has been sourced from all pits except Urucum East. The Coricancha project is located in the Province of Huarochiri, approximately 90 km east of Lima and is accessed by the Central National Highway connecting Lima to La Oroya. The Plomo project is in NW Sonora state, Mexico. The Plomo property consists of the Plomo and Plomo II mineral claims and total 4,279ha.
