Several Nuveen closed-end funds have declared distributions. Monthly Tax-Exempt Municipal Distributions

Monthly distributions from Nuveen's municipal bond closed-end funds are generally exempt from regular Federal income taxes, and monthly distributions of single-state municipal funds are also generally exempt from state and, in some cases, local income taxes for in-state residents. Unless otherwise stated in the funds' objectives, monthly distributions of the municipal funds may be subject to the Federal Alternative Minimum Tax for some shareholders.

Monthly Taxable Distributions

Nuveen High Income December 2018 Target Term Fund (NYSE:JHA) announced plans to liquidate on or about November 30, 2018. The fund will not declare its regular monthly distribution in November 2018 and expects that all accumulated earnings will be included in the final liquidating distribution. For details, see the Press Release.

Due to the upcoming merger of Nuveen Build America Bond Opportunity Fund (NYSE: NBD) into Nuveen Build America Bond Fund (NYSE: NBB), distribution amounts for November will be declared separately. We expect to announce a pre-merger distribution on November 6, 2018, to shareholders of record on November 16, 2018, payable December 6, 2018. A post-merger distribution will be announced on November 19, 2018, to shareholders of record on November 29, 2018, payable December 6, 2018. The total dollar amount of the pre- and post-merger distributions received on December 6, 2018 will be equal to or greater than the shareholders’ prior monthly dividend amount.
