GALLIPOLIS, Ohio, Oct. 28, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Ohio Valley Banc Corp. [Nasdaq: OVBC] (the "Company") reported consolidated net income for the quarter ended September 30, 2024, of $2,719,000, an increase of $468,000, or 20.8%, from the same period the prior year. Earnings per share for the third quarter of 2024 were $.58 compared to $.47 for the prior year third quarter. For the nine months ended September 30, 2024, net income totaled $8,484,000, a decrease of $924,000 from the same period the prior year. Earnings per share were $1.79 for the first nine months of 2024 versus $1.97 for the first nine months of 2023. Return on average assets and return on average equity were .81% and 7.80%, respectively, for the first nine months of 2024, compared to 1.00% and 9.21%, respectively, for the same period in the prior year.
