Conifex Announces First Quarter 2023 Results

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 09, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Conifex Timber Inc. (“Conifex”, “we” or “us”) (TSX: CFF) today reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2023.  EBITDA* was negative $6.9 million for the quarter compared to EBITDA of $20.1 million in the first quarter of 2022. Net loss was $8.1 million or $0.20 per share for the quarter versus net income of $11.4 million or $0.28 per share in the year-earlier quarter. The results reflect reduced operating earnings on lower lumber prices and reduced shipments reflecting transportation challenges which impacted lumber production.
